By Christina Aguilera has been in the news a lot lately. First for the rumors that she was breaking up with husband, and father of her child, Jordan Bratman. Next big piece of news came that she was indeed divorcing. The news came right before her first starring role in a feature film. The singer turned actress made news as Burlesque underperformed with only an $11 million dollar opening weekend. There has now been a lot of rumors that the photos may have been leaked by Aguilera or her team to get her name out there.
I’m not sure her name needs to be out there more. Aguilera is an aging pop star with a fantastic voice, and many of her earlier work have grown up. Pop music is made for, and controlled by teens. Aguilera no longer has the appeal she once did, which is unfortunate because she might have one of the most powerful voices in Hollywood. What makes her even more special is that a voice like hers doesn’t require numerous amounts of post-production work and autotune.
