“Fast and Furious” Weekend at the Box Office

This weekend at the box office was definitely “Fast and Furious” with the new Vin Diesel / Paul Walker movie bringing in $72.5 million dollars across 3,461 theaters. International theaters brought in $30.1 million dollars across 3,158 theaters. The movie crossed the finish line long before the defending champ “Monsters vs. Aliens,” which brought in $33.5 million dollars this weekend, bringing its worldwide gross to $118.1 million – still $56.9 million short of recouping its $175 million dollar budget.
