American Idol Season 5 Contestant Katharine McPhee is promoting her new album, “Unbroken,” and is stirring up the headlines. But not because of a new sound, or a hit single. All of the buzz is over her new hair color: blonde (see the video above of McPhee promoting her new album). Not to mention she cut off quite a bit of length.
For those of you familiar with Katharine McPhee, it comes as a surprise that she would change her beautiful look and throw it out the window for something less feminine. Either way, it’s not like she doesn’t look good – but I don’t think she will get the same “head turn” reactions that she used to get with her old look.
“I’ve never dyed my hair before so this was a pretty drastic change,” Katharine said. “I’ve always been known as a brunette but I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and it kind of just fit with all of the searching with the music and experimenting that I would do the same thing with my look.”
