Machete is flat out balls to the wall, bone crushing MEXploitation. It is a fun movie. If you like “The Mack”, “Slaughter”, ‘Black Caesar” and all of those old Jim Brown movies, you will love this. It reminded me of dollar day at the Fox theater, when I would spend my allowances on the latest Fred Williamson or Kung Fu movie. This movie delivers the goods. Robert Rodgriguez has a knack for getting the feel of these 70’s style films. Danny Trejo sticks it to the man with any blade he can find and Michelle Rodgriguez is the new millenium Pam Grier. Great fun, grab your popcorn and brace yourself.
