Preview: Westworld Season 2 Premieres This Sunday on HBO, New Photos

These violent delights are back again.

In late 2016, showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (along with producer J.J. Abrams) brought us ten episodes of some of the best television in the past decade. Westworld, adapted from Michael Crichton’s 1973 film Westworld (starring Yul Brynner, Richard Benjamin, and James Brolin), was not only a critical success – but perfectly filled the polar bear-sized hole left when Abrams’ LOST went off the air.

Now a little over a year since the first season ended, Westworld is getting ready to wow audiences again. This Sunday is the season 2 premiere titled, “Journey into Night.” In case you somehow don’t remember the incredible finale, that was the name of the newest narrative in the park.

Much of the cast will return for the second season, including favorites Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris, James Marsden, and Luke Hemsworth. Joining the cast as season regulars are Katja Herbers, Gustaf Skarsgård, and Fares Fares.

Here are 12 new stills from Season 2, Episode 1: “Journey into Night.”

Westworld returns with the first of ten episodes this Sunday, April 22 (9/8c), only on HBO. For more information, visit HBO.com. You can follow Westworld on Twitter @WestworldHBO.
