Again, like last week, A.J Feely would start the game with the first team offensive line. New this week was starting running back Steven Jackson in the backfield! Feely (pic 1)orchestrated a drive with pinpoint passing and a pounding running game from Jackson that resulted in an opening drive touchdown! We haven’t seen one of those in years!! The Rams jumped out to a 7-0 lead just 5 minutes into the game! On came the defense to test themselves against an aging Jake Delhomme and the young puppies from the dawg pound!
St. Louis Ram fans, a question: What does $55 million dollars buy in todays economy? Answer a quarterback who goes 6/14 for 24 yards!
(pic3)Bradford was ineffective for the second week in a row narrowing his chances even further for him to start the season at quarterback. I personally believe this is a good thing. Let him study Feely and learn for a few games, then when he is ready and comfortable bring him in to lead the team. Now isn’t the time, and he is telling us all that with his inability to move the team down field.
Now for the Bad news: #41 Antoine Thompson, Coach wants to see you and bring your playbook!!!! You are CUT!!!!! This is the worst ecuse for a professional football player I have ever seen. He doesn’t get within 10 yards of the receiver he is covering (mostly because they blow him off the line of scrimmage), then a quick move and he leaves his jock on the field and is burnt for a big gain (or touchdown).
But all in all it was an improvement and a RAMS WIN 19-17!!!!!!!!
Yes its preseason but we are Ram fans, we take what we can get!
Short week this week as the boys travel to New England for a Thursday night dance with Tom Brady and the Patsies!!!!
I am Ram Man, and meet me in the endzone!!!!!

After watching the game for the second time. I changed my mind about Bradford. The first watch I thought he played very bad, but considering it was his second game in the big show that should be expected. Toss in some rain, and it took something off the ball. Remember the fade that hit the defender in the back in the endzone? Not to mention the dropped passes.
I think he will adjust, and if the first string O-line can keep him from getting killed, he should have a break out game for a rookie.
Tommy, great comments. Cleveland is in no way a perfect condition for a rookie QB. My biggest problem with the offense is that Bradford has no one to throw to. Avery can't catch a cold much less the pigskin! With the addition of Mizzou's Alexander, a tall wide out with speed, Bradford now has someone other than the tightends to throw to. Also we need to see how he does with Jackson in the backfield (The Defenses won't blitz every down then). Please check back after the game on thursday!
