The Wayans Brothers “Scary Movie” is my favorite because it poked fun at all of the ridiculous horror movies with gaping holes in the plots that took themselves way to seriously.

The first time I watched ROSEMARY’S BABY (which I didn’t think was all that scary until the end), I finished watching the movie and turned out the light, but must not have turned it all the way off, because as my dog and I crossed the room, the light snapped back on.

Never saw a boy and his dog freeze so still.

My favorite Horror Movie is George A. Romeo’s original “Dawn of the Dead”. I swear after my two companions bolted from the theatre, I was looking for zombies under the seat. I expect the living dead are all at the Crestwood Mall now! Hey, don’t knock SPAM. It comes with it own key. LOVED IT!

My favorite horror movie the first time I kind of watched it was Saw 1.

  • Tony Mosello , July 16, 2009

My favorite scary movie is Saw. I love this movie for many reasons. First of all, its got murder and gore. It has a great deal of suspense. It had many plot twists which always keeps you guessing. The characters are built up and are all necessary. I love the Saw franchis!

Session 9. I just thought it was so creepy the first time I saw it. It still creeps me out if I’m home alone at night with the lights off

  • Nora , July 16, 2009

Blair Witch Project…the way they filmed the movie to make it seem like a true story totally freaked me out.

  • Daryl , July 16, 2009

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original). I still get nervous when I have to use a saw on a project.

  • Dawn , July 16, 2009

My favorite scary movie is Amityville horror because it was a true story…and it was the first scary movie that really freaked me out!

  • Mikey , July 16, 2009

My favorite scary movie is “Disturbia,” because it is AWESOME! The neighbor is really creepy and I love all of the characters!

  • Jonny Posner , July 16, 2009

Jesus Camp. Hands down the scariest movie I have ever seen. The kids in that documentary are brainwashed jesus zombies… I think the fact that it is REAL is what scares me most. I couldn’t sleep for days after seeing those children *chills*

  • Becca Price , July 16, 2009

Psycho. I watched it for the first time in a hotel room….freaked me out.

  • Mike , July 16, 2009

    Favorite movie is Saw

  • Jen , July 16, 2009

My favorite is The Exorcist because it is the first scary movie I remember watching.

  • Thomas Wilson , July 16, 2009

I really like the Halloween series. Michael Meyers is one of the frightening killers out there

  • Brittney Osborne , July 16, 2009

My favourite horror movie is Critters. When I was little it scared the bloody hell out of me and I had about a million nightmares of giant furry balls chassing me through town lol.

  • Delores , July 17, 2009

It’s always soo hard for me to pick just one favorite. I will tell you that one of my favs is “Nightmare on Elm Street”. I liked it because it scared the crap out of me!!

  • Mike , July 17, 2009

I like the first SAW movie because it was pretty original and it did keep me in suspense and guessing the whole time.

  • Regina , July 17, 2009

My favorite all time scary movie is What Ever Happened to Baby Jane with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Scary for sure….

  • Scott , July 17, 2009

“Martyrs” was a great movie! A genre all by itself. It had the freakiness factor, and extremely brutal! Really one of the most ferocious movies I’ve ever seen. It might be better to watch in the original language though and just turn on the subtitles. Those English voice overs were pretty crappy! But my favorite would have to be the “Saw” movies. I thought the ending to the first one was ground breaking for horror movies. Most horror movies have horrible endings, but every one of the saw movies ended well. Can’t wait for VI!!!

  • Scott , July 17, 2009

Another movie tied with the Saw series is “Cloverfield”. I got a lot of mixed reviews for this, because it’s a love it or hate it type of movie. No gray area. But I for one LOVED IT!!! I heard a while back they were making a sequel, but haven’t heard much since. Something like seing it from the view of the military or police officers. Somehow explaining everything, rather than just a 2nd part to the movie. Anybody else know of a Cloverfield 2?

  • Barney schulte , July 17, 2009

    The Wiz…..dude that played
    the Scarecrow was really frightening…..wouldn’t
    trust him around the Munchkins.

  • Carrie , July 17, 2009

The Exoricist. Hearing that this story was based upon a true story is creepy. Spirits that take over a person’s body? Still scary. A classic!

  • Rex , July 18, 2009

“Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me”
This film never got a chance and is unfavorably compared to the TV series it’s based on. See it for yourself – there is real horror here. Intense acting and expected David Lynch weirdness abound.

  • Don , July 18, 2009

Gosh…there are lots! My fav scary movie would have to be Silence of The Lambs…it was so scary, I couldn’t go to sleep that night!

  • Jessica , July 18, 2009

I have to say one of my favorite scary movies was the Neverending Story, you can’t tell me that huge dragon dog thing wasn’t scary. So what if I was like 4 when I saw that… lol

Um the Exorcist really scared me the first time I saw it. Same goes with the Ring.

I own Candyman and 1408 on DVD so I guess I like those the best.

  • Tommi , July 18, 2009

The scariest movie I’ve ever seen (and it still creeps me out to this day) is the EXORCIST. I saw it when I was about 12 years old and was afraid to sleep alone for months afterwards!

  • Amy , July 19, 2009

I’d say “Scream” is my fav scary movie since it’s exciting, mysterious, funny, and I like the actors in it. Plus, I like that it’s the 1st of a trilogy, where you don’t find out who the real killer is until the last movie.
