I wanna win this frackin DVD!

  • Jason McKenzie , July 27, 2009

My favorite episode of BSG is from season 1, episode 13 titled “Kobol’s Last Gleaming Part 2.” It’s my favorite because it was the season finale for the first season and, as such, was amazing. The cliffhanger was shocking. Starbuck is my fave and she really shines in this episode.

  • Alex Recio , July 27, 2009

I’ve only watched the first episode of this show, I’ve always heard it was good but never watched it. I hope I win so I can begin watching the show, it looks really interesting!

  • Donald Squires , July 27, 2009

My favorite ep was “Exodus, Pt 2” from season 3. Sure, we had the bombast awesome action (Jump into orbit! Watch all the dust flies as they jump back out!), but it was Ellen’s death that really cemented the episode. The way it was handled was absolutly captivating.

And at the end of the episode: “You brought them back Saul.”

    “Not all of them.”

  • Portly St. James , July 27, 2009

My favorite episode is 33, season 1 episode 1. The miniseries was great, I was completely riveted, but I didn’t fall for the show until 33.

The best part about it was it so clearly defined the seperation between humans and cylons. The cylons showed up effortlessly and relentlessly every 33 minutes, without slowing a beat. The humans on the other hand, had to keep popping stims just to stay ahead of the curve. One of the most powerful and well-written first episodes I dare say in the history of television.

  • Kyle , July 27, 2009

    “Downloaded”
It gave me the first real look at the internal side of Cylon politics which was quite interesting.

  • Robert , July 28, 2009

My favorite episode of BSG was Season 1 eps 1 “33”. The fact that it shows how tiresome war can be when you are unsure when the next attack is. It reminds me of the stories you would hear about trench soliders never sure when or where the next attack would come from.

  • William , July 28, 2009

My favorite episode was Season 3, Episode 20, Crossroads Pt. 2. I really enjoyed the episode because Tigh was very entertaining when he was going insane looking for the music he was hearing “It’s coming from inside the ship!” and because I don’t know if a bigger bomb/twist has ever been dropped than revealing that FOUR main characters (ok, one wasn’t really a main character) are the final four Cylons. It was a lot to take at once.

  • Justin , July 28, 2009

Definitely 33 for me. I really enjoyed the miniseries as well, but the episode “33” was just amazing. I knew then I would love the show.

  • Brad B , July 28, 2009

Any episode with Romo Lampkin. Mark Sheppard is awesome.

  • sabanoo , July 28, 2009

My favorite episode is probably Exodus: Part 2 (Season 3, Episode 4). This was one of the episodes that finally got me to start watching BSG regularly because of the great mix of drama and science fiction that’s displayed in Exodus.

  • FFXX , July 28, 2009

My favorite episode is the Finale because it is the finale.

  • Nikki , July 28, 2009

My favorite episode is definitely Daybreak, part II (the series finale). That beautiful twist–the Colonials turning out to be our ancestors, not our descendants–and a beautiful and poignant ending for all the characters I loved. The moment when Sam finally speaks to Kara and says goodbye, and the happy ending I never thought Helo and Sharon would get, were amazing.

  • Roger , July 29, 2009

Exodus, when they staged the rescue on New Caprica. That was the only episode my brother had seen and he was glued the whole time.

  • FatmanOSU , July 29, 2009

My favorite episode is Taking a Break from All Your Worries, (Season 3, Episode 13). So very interesting scenes.

  • Reign , July 29, 2009

all the starbuck episodes are my favs – particularly when we get to flashback to an earlier time to understand how she became the person she is “today”. the abuse she endured from her mother, declaring her love for apollo but marrying sam, the memory of playing piano with her daddy…. those were some of the most powerful and memorable scenes to me. kara thrace was, by far, my fav character on the show. i miss BSG – what a great show.

  • pixiefairy007 , July 29, 2009

my favorite episode is season 2 episode 9, “FLight of the Phoenix.” Best ever showing where Boomer’s alliance is true to.

  • Martin , July 30, 2009

My favorite episode is the season three finale, “Crossroads” which is split into two parts. Mainly because of the resolution of Baltars trial and the revelation of who some of the final five are with the great rendition of All Along The Watchtower. Also Romo Lampkin is a pimp.

  • Kevin Stoneham , July 30, 2009

Favorite was Richard Hatch’s debut as Tom Zarek(?). His role on show mirrored the role in real life of leading resistance to the new vision of the show.

  • James , July 31, 2009

My favorite episode is Unfinished Business. Apollo and Starbuck get to fight each other. It is nice to see a good old fashion fist fight.

  • Ben B , July 31, 2009

I am going with a bunch of other people and say Exodus Pt. 2. I literaly was on the edge of my seat. I loved how the Galactica looked like it was going to land, and the whoosh, it jumped. By far the best episode I’ve watched so far (The wife and I are in the middle of season 3 right now.) I wanted to watch it again immediately after it was over.

  • gene , July 31, 2009

Favorite episode has got to be the first in the series “33”. Having been in the armed forces, I completely understand what stressed and sleep deprivation feels like on alert and going active every 33 mins. That episode captured my personal experiences very well, and I certainly cannot imagine going on for days!

  • John Getty , July 31, 2009

I have 2 favorite episodes. The first would be the episode that revealed the 4 final psylons and the other is the Daybreak’s. The ending was a bit anti-climactic and confusing (Kara disappears, wtf?), but the fight scenes were epic.

  • Rahb , July 31, 2009

I’d have to say my favorite episode was “You Can’t Go Home Again.” I liked the idea of Starbuck hotwiring an essentially living thing and flying it’s carcass home.

  • Steve Bitto , August 1, 2009

My favorite episode was “You Can’t Go Home Again” because after Starbuck crashes with the raider it was exciting to see how the fleet is risked to save them.

  • David Powell , August 1, 2009

While I don’t think they’ve had any episodes that I would call bad by any means, my favorite episode by far would be “Exodus: Part II”, the episode where the Galactica came back to New Caprica and saved the settlers from Cylon rule. The whole thing kept me on the edge of my seat, and the scene where the Galactica jumps into the upper atmosphere and falls down to the planet below spitting out vipers on the way down and jumping out *just* before it hits the ground is quite possibly the most awesome thing ever. Bear in mind I still haven’t seen 4.5 (going to watch it all at once on disc, rather then a week apart and filled with commercials on TV), so there may yet be an episode that tops that. The end of 4.0 where everyone finally makes it to earth and finds nothing but a dead nuclear wasteland came very close, but it wasn’t quite enough to top the other one.

  • Jigsaw hc , August 1, 2009

The rescue of New Caprica was my favorite.

  • PandorasTmrw , August 1, 2009

Wow I didnt know so many ppl liked 33 too. It was definitely one of the best from the series

  • Jeremy , August 1, 2009

My favorite episode was “Sometimes a Great Notion” because it they finally found earth and was not what they were expecting. It was interesting to see everyone deal with such disappointment and loss of hope not to mention one character just couldn’t deal with it anymore.

  • Julian , August 1, 2009

there are many amzing episodes in this show but I’d have to say the first episode was my favorite because it was what drew me into the BSG series, I don’t own any so I would love to win this!

  • Whiskey , August 2, 2009

I think my favorite episode(s), were actually the three Daybreak, aka the finale, episodes

While I had a few issues with some things, overall I loved the way it ended things

  • Mark , August 2, 2009

gotta say, my favorite was episode was “33”. Tremendously gripping episode.

  • Zac McMillian , August 3, 2009

Exodus Parts 1 and 2 were my favorites if I had to choose. Black Market coming in a close second. The awesome atmosphere jump by the Galactica and then the save by the Pegasus with Lee… that was just epic. The humans were saved by the military and they left to search once again for Earth. The combination of battle and tense scenes with the human resistance made the two episodes great.

  • Warren , August 4, 2009

Well gee…I don’t mean to jump on the bandwagon and all, but the Exodus episodes from Season 3 are epic. That whole New Caprica arc was the series’ high point. Terrorism! Betrayal! FAT LEE!

  • Jeffrey Rey , August 4, 2009

My favorite episode would have to be “Pegasus” which is in season 2 episode 10.

Reason being that you first find out what life was like when the military ran things with out a heart (President Roslin).

  • John K , August 5, 2009

My favorite would have to be 33, for the simple fact that the pilot sold me on the remake of the series.

  • Kurtis Chinn , August 5, 2009

I have to agree that Exodus: Part II was one of my favorites

  • Walter E. , August 6, 2009

For me, it was 33. This set the tone, the tense action, for the entire series. BSG, you will be missed!

  • Allison , August 7, 2009

One of my favorite Episodes was proabably Season One “You Can’t Go Home Again” It showed how much Starbuck means to both of the Adamas. I also liked when Lee was about to attack Starbuck’s raider and your like “No! It’s Starbuck!” and then she flies over him and you see her name spelled out on the raider in tape!

  • Jose R , August 7, 2009

Season 1, episode 13. Kobol’s Last Gleaming part 2. The old man getting shot twice and the reactions around the CIC all in slow motion . What a way to end a season.

  • Steve S , August 7, 2009

For me it was ‘Occupation’. Season 3 episode 1. I thought it struck home how these two peoples were simply not going to coexist, and the lengths that the humans would go to in order to secure their own future. Grizzled Tigh was the Best Tigh.

Not to mention Starbuck’s repeated, nearly careless, killings of Leoben, and how he refused to give up on coming to her.

  • Rebecca Hetrick , August 9, 2009

Season 1, episode 5 “You Can’t Go Home Again.” I just really like how Starbuck is stranded alone and finds the downed Cylon Raider. I just love the fact that she is able to fix the Raider and fly it all the way to the fleet.

  • Ryan E , August 10, 2009

33, by a long margin. The tension, action, and plot blew away pretty much every other episode to me. Way to start high.

  • Ben B , August 12, 2009
