Synopsis:

Hilary Swank and Richard Gere star in director Mira Nair’s biopic tracing the life of famed aviator Amelia Earhart — who made history in 1932 by becoming the first woman ever to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Five years later, as Earhart attempted to fly around the world, the pilot and her plane simply vanished after crashing into the Pacific Ocean. Virginia Madsen and Ewan McGregor co-star in the Avalon Pictures production. – Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

  • Hilary Swank has turned in some great performances recently and I would not expect anything less from her in this.

  • I think the story is one of the most interesting mysteries I have ever heard. I think Hilary Swank is a great actress and I can hardly wait to see the movie. It has to be good. My birthday is coming up soon and a screening pass to the movie would be a great present.

  • It is the story of a lifetime about a woman's greatest achievement in a man's world of aviation. and me being a woman must see "AMELIA".

  • I always admired Amelia Earhart for her CAN DO spirit. Her story was an inspiration to me as I grew up. I would love to see the movie of her storied life. Janet

  • Two names come up when you talk about pioneers in long distance aviation, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. I know I would enjoy seeing the story of Amelia's life. Eddie

  • I really enjoy Hillary Swank. I also have always been fascinated by the story of Amelia Earhardt and would like to learn more about her.

  • Growing up in Kansas, the book on Amelia Earhart's life was one of my first real life stories to read. I have also been to her childhood home in Atchison, Ks. It looks like a really interesting movie with a great cast.
